Programme and information for the next few weeks’ workshops

    Monday 16th July from 1pm – 4pm                                  Collage

Introduction to some collage techniques: making patterns, playing with text, images, making a collection, surreal composition… using a great source of recycled and new materials and making the collage directly onto a range of new, recycled and old objects. There will be resources and examples provided for participants to get some inspiration.

(The different objects will guide the creative work and should customise the approach taken by each participant.)

    Thursday 19th July from 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Pointillism, mandalas, dot painting and aboriginal art

Using felt tip pens first, then acrylic paint with a range of tools such as nail art dotted pens, brushes… participants will be offered to work on papers, pebbles (stones), wood sticks (driftwood), etc…  to explore this art form. I will provide a range of ideas and reference images to work from and give guidance to participants.

(This dot painting process can be very therapeutic and is accessible to all abilities (like mandalas, considered as an art therapy). Working with the pebbles and driftwoods should also inspire positive feelings from nature.)

Monday 23rd July from 1pm – 4pm:         Playing with inks

Experimenting with inks, diluted bleach, on yupo paper and ceramic tiles, using printing and stencil approaches…
