Become an Anchor University

Calling universities, students, RAG groups, or RAD groups!

We’d love for you to jump aboard with Sea Sanctuary and help us steer those in need through life’s rough waters.

Fundraising not only means you help people by raising money for a worthy cause, it also helps you gain some life and employability skills and is something interesting you can add to your CV.

Support Sea Sanctuary

Supporting a charity such as Sea Sanctuary will make a real impact.

Our charity will not only educate your students about social responsibility and social entrepreneurship, but also help increase students’ understanding of mental health and reduce stigma around issues so they feel they can be more open and talk to people if they struggle themselves.

So why not jump on board as an anchor university or college and help Sea Sanctuary continue with its invaluable work in providing a service to some of the most vulnerable young people in society suffering with mental health issues

Choose Us for Your Raise and Give Week

As a small charity, we rely heavily on donations and support from those in our community. Being chosen as a charity for your Raise and Give is something that would not only help to build awareness for our work, but also help us to raise significant income and deliver programmes.

We want to help you get the best out of your fundraising experience and help you reach your target. The Sea Sanctuary team can work with you, providing you with a range of fundraising materials, along with local media support

Why is it important?

As the pressure on students across the globe increases and many find it difficult to cope with social and academic aspects of student life, the extent of mental health problems in UK universities means mental health provisions and services must be equipped to deal with it.

The work of Sea Sanctuary is to prevent poor mental health following these young people into adult life, where the prognosis is often particularly poor. Without the new ARC service, (Sea Sanctuary’s latest project due to launch Summer 2018) many young people (aged 11-24) and families are unlikely to prosper due to mental ill health.

How will we support you?

We want to help you get the best out of your fundraising experience and help you reach your target.

The Sea Sanctuary team can work with you and it’s a great way to encourage students to take the lead in organising events or coming up with fundraising ideas.

We can provide you with a range of fundraising materials, along with support and information about what we do along the way.

What we offer Anchor University or Colleges
